New Orleans East is a community of neighborhoods each with its own unique characteristics and attributes. Some centered around lakes, while others around parks or playgrounds - but each with a pride and determination to be the best it can be. Hosting ethnicities and cultures from all around the world, it's diversity is unique to any other community in the city.  Devastated by hurricane Katrina in 2005, new homes, new schools and new businesses are replacing the old.  Indeed, every day presents a new look for New Orleans East, making it truly a great and dynamic place to live, work and play.
