The New Orleans Regional Business Park was created by the State of Louisiana in conjunction with the City of New Orleans to attract new businesses and facilitate the expansion of existing businesses within a 7000 acre tract in Eastern New Orleans. The Business Park is home to major organizations such as NASA's Michoud Assembly Facility employing thousands in the aerospace industry, Folger's Coffee Company, the world largest roasting facility a premier coffee roasting facility, and Blade Dynamics, a leader in green energy turbine power . The businesses in the Park generate billions of dollars in annual sales, employ approximately eight thousand area and regional residents and pump substantial dollars into the tax base which covers supportive public services.

Located in the heart of the technology- corridor, the business park offers a uniquely rich logistical infrastructure, providing in close proximity, access to water, rail, air and interstate. Additionally, NASA's technology-sharing policies now provide even greater incentives for companies to locate within the district. Exponential growth is expected as awareness grows. NASA-Michoud's new role in the production of the heavy-lift rocket will certainly be a catalyst for growth.
