Dust of that bicycle and let's get back in the saddle for some fun and fitness!  This is a ride for newbies, those that haven't ridden in a while and those that ride everyday!  It's free and open to the public. We're going to learn the rules of the road and get some great health tips from experienced experts. After that we're on our own to create and maintain a a daily or weekly riding schedule to fit our lifestyle.

Don't miss out!

We're going to have some fun Saturday, October 12th, 2013.  We'll get to meet our neighbors and potential riding buddies from all over New Orleans.  The New Orleans Police Department (NOPD) will also host a Bicycle Registration table, so take advantage of this opportunity to get your bike registered.  With the $3 Bike Registration Fee, you will receive a tag for your bicycle. And if by some chance you have not seen the developments at Joe W. Brown Park post Katrina, prepare to be blown away!  The new state-of-the-art facilities are magnificent!

This is going to be a fantastic kickoff to the Fall riding season.  Community leaders, elected officials and members of other riding clubs have acknowledged their attendance. Check out the route we'll take on the map below.  It's a quick and easy ride (3.2 miles), just enough to shake off the cob webs and inspire you to start riding regularly.

Our thanks to Dr. Eric Griggs and the Bike Easy organization for agreeing to come out and kick us off in a safe and healthy manner.  Also, to the NOPD for squeezing this event into their busy schedule. (Safety First!)

Finally, we'd love to know if you plan to join us or if you have any questions about the ride.  We may even do a few shout-outs or a little name-dropping - it's all about having some fun with this event. With that, (click here to) drop us a note - We look forward to hearing from you and meeting you at the Easy Ride with Doc Griggs and Bike Easy.
