Residents and officials applaud the completion of the $20 million restoration of the New Orleans Lakefront Airport. As one of only two remaining art deco designed airport terminals in the country, this jewel shines historically as well as structurally on the shore of Lake Pontchartrain.

Airport Levee Board Commissioners and New Orleans East residents, Romona Baudy and Pearl Cantrelle, (whose names appear on the re-dedication plaque) spent countless hours helping to guide this project along with the many other tasks of the Orleans Levee District Non-Flood Protection Asset Management Authority.
